Sad, sad news: Jörg Dittmar aka Lord Litter passed away. Lord Litter was a great person, a wonderful musician, busy radio producer and networker.
On May 1st this email was sent by his son to spread Jörg's last words to the DIY Music community.
"Hi, I am visiting John Lennon. This is no joke. The COPD worsened that much that they could not do anything. It’s all right, I had a great life, a bit short, what can you do.
I know we will meet again somewhere, bring your instruments, we will have jam sessions.
I am surrounded by my family and girlfriend so I am feeling great.
Please spread the news to as many friends as possible! I repeat it’s no joke! My son will send this mail when the time has come!"
Cheers LL

And never forget his own music and get in touch with his history via the Lord Litter homepage.
Jörg also wrote some great articles at Electronic Cottage. My favorite article is on "Social Media (the way it is now) = Death, Destruction, Hate, Lies, Racism, Fascism, Homophobia PART 1 & PART 2".
Jörg and I unfortunately never met in real life. Not in the 80s and not later either. I wanted to invite him to Linz for Cassette Culture Node.Linz, but the budget was gone faster than planned. I wanted to visit him in Berlin afterwards, but then came his illness, then Covid and a lot of suffering. In my life too. And so it remained with emails, his radio shows and threads that are worth reading. His feedback on Cassette Culture Node.Linz, published on Electronic Cottage, triggered such a thread and is worth its weight in gold. On "Thoughts based on Wolfgang Dorninger's Cassette Culture lecture" his thoughts on my presentation completed my talk and gave it the final touch.
Thank you Jörg, my Lord.
My favorite album by Lord Litter is "Torn Between Temptations". I play the tape regularly and it always draws a smile on my face. Psychedelic indie pop at its best. And because Jörg himself comments on the album on this tape bootleg page, I dare to share this link so that you can listen to this great album. Listen here.
