Stephen Parr of Nightclub Video - later Oddball Films, invited me to San Francisco in 1988 and organised some concerts. Stephen, an entrepreneur and passionate film archivist, sadly died far too young at 63 on 24 October after a long illness. Here you can find an obituary.

I, travelling as Josef K. Noyce - Solo, had a great time in San Francisco. At the end of my stay, I performed at Stephen's loft for his friends. In this private atmosphere I completely forgot that Jesse Block, who had already documented Monochrome Bleu in San Francisco in 1986, was filming the concert.

Today I got an email from Jesse that he recently found time to digitise the 3/4" tape. Josef K. Noyce sings Shakespeare in San Francisco. What a surprise and joy! Thank you Jesse!
